One of our favorite things to do is collaborate with the local FFA chapter at Seneca High School. We do this many times throughout the year but our biggest event is Animals for Learning, which takes place each spring. For one whole day, Seneca FFA students host local elementary and middle schoolers and lead them in activities designed to teach them about agriculture. This includes seed identification games, grow your own soybean necklace kits, animal meet-and-greets, and more. Jefferson County Farm Bureau provides many of the animals and resources for this event, as well as sponsors lunch for the FFA students. We also love to volunteer at the event itself!
